Adolescent Therapy
My approach when working with adolescents and families is a child-centered approach. This includes learning the family struggles from parent or caregiver/ guardian, learning the adolescent’s developmental level, and how that adolescent interacts with the family. We will work together to create a treatment plan to meet the goals of the adolescent and parent.
Common Issues addressed in Child- Centered Therapy but not limited to:
· Anxiety
· Depression
· Adjustment (divorce, blended family)
· Grief/ Loss
· Defiance/ Disobedience
· Academic Behavior issues at school/ home
· Trauma History
· Social Issues (bullying, social skills training)
